2021 gift guides!

while I’ll be the first to express that gifts and shopping are certainly not the reason for the season, I absolutely LOVE gifting. finding a thoughtful, meaningful gift for someone brings me so much joy. my love language is acts of service (or quality time, depending on the day), and it’s definitely how I treat others - so finding a practical gift that solves a dilemma or improves someone’s day/week/month/year fills my heart. for example, my mom constantly complained that her coffee was always cold by the time she finally sat down in the morning, and as she doesn’t like re-heated coffee, it wasn’t enjoyable to her. while I couldn’t solve her hectic mornings, I found this mug warmer and gave it to her last year. super simple gift, but she uses it every day and tells me how much she loves it (and that she can now finally enjoy her morning coffee). things like that - those are the moments I love to create. it wasn’t the biggest or the fanciest gift by any means, but it made a big, positive, impact in her daily routine, and I think that’s the best kind of present!

personally, this year, i’m sticking wit the “want, need, wear, read” method of gifting - so my family will each get something they want, something they need, something to wear, and something they need!
