My Favorite Things: March 2019

Click here to read last month’s faves!

Decided to switch up the format a little bit for March! I’ll be playing around with a few different formatting styles over the year, be sure to let me know what you like (or what you’d like to see) in the comments or send me an email! I already know that the next few months will all revolve around specific themes, and I can’t wait to share!

Everlane Day Market Tote*

Or as it’s more affectionally known, the “Meghan Markle Tote.” After spotting my favorite royal with this bag, I knew it’d make it’s way onto my wishlist eventually. The Duchess of Sussex popularized Everlane’s Day Market Tote in Cognac, which I almost bought, but after seeing it in Light Taupe, I knew that was the one for me. The hype surrounding it is absolutely worth it, and I’m now a big fan of both the bag and Everlane itself. It can hold everything I need for school, work, errands, and everything in between. Super spacious, and even with my laptop and some heavy books, it never feels unbearably weighty.

Free People’s Spring/Summer Collection

As someone who used to work for one of the URBN companies, a lot of my wardrobe comes from Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, and Free People. While I love what each of the 3 brands has released to celebrate the warmer weather so far, most of my attention has been drawn to FP. I currently have a wishlist full of items for the season, and an order on the way, but I adore this bodysuit* (shown below) and this crop top* that I’ve received already! Of course, I miss my employee discount, but being able to use Afterpay on my FP orders helps to cushion the blow (a little bit).

Notability App

I’m a sucker for handwritten everything - cards, letters, and of course, class notes. In undergrad, it was often easier for me to type my class notes, but now in my post-bacc, it’s not exactly feasible to quickly type up physics equations or organic chem reactions. But in an effort to save some paper and space in my backpack, I ditched my notebooks this month and started exclusively handwriting my notes on my iPad Pro. The Notability app makes it super easy for me to still go through the process of handwriting everything, easily make edits, and incorporate images from handouts or the textbook into my notes for a seamless studying session.

Once Upon Apparel tees*

When I started going to Disney more frequently (read: became an Annual Passholder), I wanted to be sure that I had something cute, comfy, and unique to wear to the parks. Once Upon Apparel was one of the first small shops I came across, and I’ve loved every single purchase I’ve made from them. I’m super happy to say that I recently became a company affiliate, and you can now use “MAYA10” and save on your Once Upon Apparel orders!

Trader Joe’s Vegan Kale, Cashew, & Basil Pesto (available in your neighborhood TJ’s)!

As per the request of a friend of mine, I’ll be posting my Trader Joe’s favorites shortly, but in the mean time, I wanted to share something from TJ’s that I’ve fallen in love with lately: the Vegan Kale, Cashew, & Basil Pesto! It’s perfect on a panini, over an omelette, and really, on anything. Honestly, as I took a break from writing this post, I made a mozzarella + red pepper panini using this pesto and it was heavenly.

Audible

I love a good book, and truly love browsing bookstores, coming home, getting cozy, and devouring a new novel. So audiobooks honestly never sounded that appealing to me. When a friend recommended a book to me and sent it via Audible, I was skeptical, and didn’t really open it until a while later. But now, having finished a few audiobooks, I’m officially an Audible member, and absolutely love it! Audiobooks have become my daily commute soundtracks, I listen to them while I get ready in the morning, and even at the gym sometimes.

Rarity By Casey Bowbands

I wore headbands like it was my day job back in middle/high school. I pretty much only ever wear my hair up in a ponytail or a bun, so accessorizing it to make it a little less…meh…is important when I want to feel a little better about my overall image. My srunchie collection has always been colorful and vast, but I stopped wearing headbands around 10th grade when my migraines started to get worse - and then I bought my first Rarity by Casey bowband in 2017. Casey’s bowbands are ADORABLE, perfect for Disney days, errands, around the house, but my favorite thing about them is that they absolutely do not aggravate my migraines. Be sure to follow with the company on Instagram for shop opening announcements, FAQs, and pattern reveals!

bartaco

If you follow me on Instagram, you may know that I’ve been to my brand new local bartaco at least once a week since it opened earlier this month. While there’s one right down the street from our place in Florida, every time we planned on going, something came up. So when one opened up in PA, we were all over it. Going once or twice was my idea, but I’ve now gotten my friends, boyfriend, and parents completely hooked on the eatery. I’ve especially loved the current “secret taco” (crispy avo, veracruz slaw, cojita cheese, and a tasty cilantro vinaigrette), and the street corn fritters! Not to mention that the atmosphere is amazing, and I’m glad that it’s officially warm enough to eat outside now!

Let me know if you’ve tried/used/worn/consumed anything here!

xoxo,

Maya
