a rainy day ootd

i know autumn technically doesn’t start for a few more weeks, but idc. september 1 = fall in my book. I had plans to swing by a favorite local café for an iced chai, grab a sandwich, and get some work done (not to mention finally making it to the dry cleaners before they closed), but by the time I left my previous appointment, it was positively downpouring. skipped the errands, felt grateful for my cozy choice of clothing for the day, and drove home instead.

today’s outfit (minus my choice of shoes, obviously) proved to be for the cool, rainy weather, and fit the cozy - albeit treacherous - atmosphere today.

free people scout jacket: really lightweight, but still keeps you warm. perfect for cooler summer nights, crisp fall days, or that transitional summer-fall weather.

petal + pup kandice bodysuit: a good ribbed bodysuit is a must have have in my wardrobe, and the kandice from petal + pup is a recent favorite. I wore the black one a lot during our recent orlando trip, and def plan to wear the beige a ton too throughout the coming season!

petal & pup talaren pant: a high waisted mock-cord dream. they’re really comfy, flattering, and go with just about anything.

hi-top converse: NOT the ideal rainy day shoe, but in all fairness to me, it wasn’t raining when i left. still, looked cute with the cuffed pants!

house of baesics cap: I LOVE a good neutral, a solid baseball cap, and a good monogram, so when someone introduced me to this cap, it was a no-brainer add to cart moment. i’ve only had it for a few days but have worn it every time i’ve left the house, and have no plan of stopping that anytime soon.
