SO. blogmas. there’s like a 20 day gap in posts right now. as I stated on my instagram, december was kind of wild for me on a personal note. january was also kind of insane. while those remaining posts are in my drafts, I just haven’t yet had the energy to go through them, spell check, check links, etc. they’ll happen eventually, or they just won’t, and honestly, I’m okay either way.
with that said, life goes on. for now, i’m moving forward into 2021! and we’re somehow already into february!
wylde one chill af cacao: the yummiest and most relaxing addition to my nighttime routine. I usually wind down with a little tv or movie time, and I have a cup of chill af cacao! you can mix it in with coffee, cocoa, or another drink, but honestly, I like it as is. I mix a packet in with a mug full of hot water, or preferably, oat milk. tastes great when mixed in a frother (I use the one from our nespresso), and has a nice, foamy top to it. (I also love their matcha brain buzz and yoga in a cup. I like the former frothed with water and poured over lemonade, and the latter mixed like the chill af cacao or into a decaf latte).
bamboo mason jar lids: I’ve posted these before, but wanted to highlight them again! since we drink out of wide mouth mason jars at home, these lids are great for any beverage. I usually just have them over water (especially since if I leave an open cup alone, one of my cats will certainly put their face in my glass or knock it onto something important [RIP my old laptop]). they do come with stainless steel straws, but I prefer using these glass straws.
olive & june nail polish: I wasn’t allowed to have nail polish on prior to my surgery in january, so I had to ditch my usual dip manicure. being recently engaged, a lover of a good manicure, and also not really in any condition to leave the house - I wanted to make sure my nails were done right after surgery, so that meant I had to do it myself. since last spring, I literally have only used Olive & June polish for my home manicures. the range of colors is great, the polish is long-lasting, and they have really helpful tips on how to get the perfect salon-quality mani at home on their instagram (and also have this kit that makes it easier). my favorite shade is “MM” - a perfect beige that also just happens to match my initials + social handles.
always pan: I know i’ve talked about this pan quite a bit, but it’s that good. we truly use it for everything! just the other night, I made turkey meat sauce for some homemade lasagna, and while the lasagna was baking, I popped in the streamer tray and made some fresh steamed broccoli. I’ve made cheese sauce in the pain with no oil or butter down first, and there was no residue at all at the end. it cleans like a charm and can be used for anything and everything.
bala bangles: I bought these at the beginning of january, and they’ve been such a great addition to my workouts! I also have the bala power ring, which is perfect to use in place of kettlebells or lunkier weights.
acrylic bed tray + sherpa lounge pillow: since I had surgery at the end of the month, I had to spend a lot of time resting in bed. I also had to sleep propped up for a bit, and the lounge pillow was perfect for both sleeping and just being in bed! the tray table - though pricey for what it is - is the best tray table i’ve used. It’s the perfect size and weight, and the height is ideal for me while working or watching netflix in bed!
