our wedding welcome boxes featuring boxed water

*this post is sponsored by Boxed Water. they kindly gifted all of our hotel guests with water for the wedding weekend!

From the time we started planning our wedding, Don and I said that our wedding should be two things: personal and intentional. It should feel like us, and every choice we make should be impactful. That went for decisions as big as our venue to as small as the meal indicators on everyone’s menu. So when it came to design our wedding welcome boxes, the same logic applied.

For our wedding welcome boxes, we wanted to provide a little snack, a “just in case” kit, and most importantly - water - to all of our hotel guests. We chose a few of our favorite snacks (Milanos for me, Oreos for him), and stuffed pouches with Liquid IV, Advil, and Emergen-C. When it came to choosing water, we wanted to use a brand that we both loved (not all water tastes the same), and upheld our belief of putting a little less plastic into the world. So naturally, Boxed Water was our answer! Boxed Water was kind enough to send full size water for all of our welcome boxes (we put 2 in each). To know me is to know that I rarely go anywhere without a reusable water bottle, and am definitely the “did you drink your water today?” friend, so having the perfect water was essential to me.

My sister-in-law and cousin-in-law were such a huge help in getting the boxes together! The boxes themselves came disassembled, so half the battle was just getting them set up. We also lined the folds with shipping tape to increase durability with the weight of the contents. We added in a few handfuls of (recyclable) paper filler for cushion, and then did the rest. Each box contained two boxes of Boxed Water, 2 “in sickness and in health” pouches, mints, cookies, hand sanitizer, two drink koozies with our wedding logo, and was topped with a welcome letter. Both stickers for the boxes - the “welcome to our wedding weekend” sticker to seal the boxes, as well as the “in sickness and in health” stickers, and the welcome letter were designed on Canva. The wedding logo was created by our amazing invitation designer, and she gave us her blessing to use the logo on our various projects, so I used my Cricut and iron on gold vinyl to make the koozies!

We were both so happy with how they came out, and loved getting unboxing videos from our hotel guests! They were definitely a hit, and we’re so glad we were able to add an additional personal element to our wedding weekend by including things that we love and are important to us.
