updated 2021 nordstrom anniversary sale: what I actually got!
the other week, I posted my top picks from this years nsale. on wednesday, the sale officially opens up to everyone, and will go on for just about 2 more weeks, ending on 8/9. while I mostly stuck to my original list, between things selling out RIGHT when they were available online and have yet to return, or just a general change of heart, I didn’t get everything on the list, and switched it up a little!

steve madden mules. I originally was torn between the camel and pink colors for this pair of mules, but I decided to just get the camel, and would go back for the pink if I changed my mind. we happened to stop by nordy’s before I placed the order though, saw the pink ones in person, and actually couldn’t stand the color on my skin in real life! it was a much darker pink than I anticipated, and while I found them objectively cute, I just didn’t love how they looked on me. true to size, but if you’re between sizes, go up!
thread & supply shacket. this was wavering on my OG list, but ultimately didn’t make it to the blog post, as i’d decided to go for the denim jacket and the pile jacket. ultimately, when I made my 3am purchase, I focused only on the pile jacket, and skipped the denim. it’s been sold out since then, so i took it as a sign to try and get just a few more wears out of my existing denim jacket. instead, i opted for this shacket! i planned to get the camel color, but changed my mind last minute and got the black and tan plaid. fits true to size!
free people tee shirt. really comfy tee, soft, and great for a casual look in or out of the house! true to size.
white vans. one of my all time favorite shoe brands. never a problem breaking them in, and these were no exception. true to size.
madewell tshirt dress. not the most flattering, it’s largely shapeless, and doesn’t have pockets. no major selling points. HOWEVER, as strange as it sounds - that’s kind of what I wanted. I was looking for a loose t-shirt dress to throw on with sneakers for a quick errand or coffee run. it’s incredibly casual, would pair well with a denim jacket, though!
madewell cozy jacket. love it, but the sizing is a little wonky, in my opinion! I sized up 2 sizes, with the intention of wearing warm sweaters underneath. while it left me with ample room in the torso, had I gone any smaller, it would’ve been too tight in the arms! really so cute on though, and a keeper.
madewell baseball cap: honestly pretty straightforward, just a cute baseball cap in my favorite color!
