My Favorite Things: May 2019
Since we’re leaving for France in a few days, May’s favorites are all about travel essentials! For my post-flight beauty essentials, click here!

I’ve had this carry-on for just over a year now, and honestly, I don’t know that I’ll be switching brands any time soon. Since I’m constantly on my phone pre/in/after the flight, having such a convenient charger that I don’t have to pack or take out of a bag is great! Not to mention the laundry bag and travel adapters that come with the bag. PLUS it’s so easy to clean! Even my blush colored suitcase - marks come out easily with a damp cloth or a Magic Eraser. I even got my parents on board with the brand, and they completely agree with my love of it now! PS, you can dress your luggage up with stickers and decals, or a personalized luggage tag (offered by Away), but I’m partial to this Destination:Magic tag from my friend Meg! Make sure you check our her shop here.
PS: Want $20 off of your Away purchase? You can use my referral link here (we both get $20)! The discount comes off automatically at the end of checkout.
I don’t know why it took me so long to get on the packing trend train. They’re a lifesaver! So much easier to stay organized and avoid overpacking this way. Though these look like they’re bursting at the seam, i assure you they aren’t, and fit perfectly in my carry-on!
Hooded Neck Pillow
A hooded neck pillow is by far one of the best things I’ve used for travel. As both a method of fighting my travel anxiety and avoiding having to use a gross airplane bathroom, I prefer to sleep on flights, and this neck pillow is super comfy for mid-air naps. I also genuinely hate having any part of my body touch an airplane seat, so you bet I keep that hood up to prevent my hair from touching the headrest.
Cleaning wipes, hand sanitizer, lotion
Like I said, I can’t stand having any part of my body touch a plane seat, so it goes without saying that I come prepared with some cleaning wipes, hand sanitizer, and lotion (for after sanitizing). So, sorry, if you’re ever in a row with me and I pull out a pocket sized pack of Clorox wipes. Just check the travel section at Target, you can find everything there!
TSA Pre-Check
It’s $85 for 5 years of Pre-Check, and worth every single penny, obviously.
Honorable mention: a cute passport cover
This exact one is sold out, but I’ve linked some of my favorites below.
