What's In my Post-Flight Makeup Bag

As a notorious airplane sleeper, waking up and looking refreshed (aka like I haven’t been asleep in a tin can in the sky for hours on end), is important to me! These are the basic products I keep in my bag for easy access right after landing!

Eye Drops

I have chronic dry eye, and it just loves to act up in dry environments, like a plane. I almost never wear contacts on flights longer than 2 hours (so I can rest comfortably), so a contact re-wetting solution won’t make this list. For my dry eyes though, I like Systane!

SheaMoisture’s Facial Cleansing wipes (not pictured)

I don’t always use a face wipe, but after a long flight, I just feel a little extra grimy.

Drunk Elephant Glow Duo

Cabin air is so drying and dehydrating on skin, and I’ve tried quite a few moisturizers after flights to get my skin looking refreshed. Nothing has worked as well or as quickly as Drunk Elephant’s B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel. The C-Firma is also great before stepping back out into the sun or the rather polluted air that tends to be around every airport ever.

Fenty Beauty Lip Gloss

I honestly don’t wear that much makeup. My skin is so ridiculously sensitive, so I normally just steer clear, even with lipstick most of the time. Lip gloss is the perfect happy medium for me!

Fenty Beauty Shimmer Skinstick

See above, regarding my lack of knowledge/general skill in the makeup department. But again, with the dryness, my skin can look a little….blah…after a flight. Just a quick swipe of this and I’m already good to ~glow~ (I’m sorry, I couldn’t resist).

Glossier Balm dotcom

No gloss, no problem. Balm dotcom has enough of a shine to it for me (and subtle color, in some cases), so I can ~kiss~ dry lips goodbye (seriously, I’ll see myself out now after these puns). The trio is also a great way to stock up!

Milk Makeup Cooling Water Mini

I keep this in my fridge at home, to amp up the “cooling” factor, and usually put it on before I head out for work in the morning to make it look like I slept just a little more than I actually did. My dark circles are pretty bad, as is my under-eye puffiness, and though this isn’t by any means going to fix that, it helps me look a little less puffy, and a bit more awake!
