10 Cozy Movies to Watch in October
There’s nothing better than a cozy night in! Especially when the weather starts to get a little chillier, you can’t beat curling up under your favorite blanket, grabbing a cup of cocoa or tea, and settling in for a movie night. I rounded up my 10 favorites to watch this time of year. Obviously, if you know me at all, there of course will be one for Christmas.
Full disclosure, some of these have nothing to do with fall. One may actually be a Christmas movie. Whatever, it’s fine. For one reason or another, they’re just go-tos for me when I want to have a super cozy night, or am stuck inside on a rainy day!
I’m not really one for spooky movies, but of course, Hocus Pocus has to be on this list. Even if Halloweentown isn’t on here, know that I definitely have it as one to watch this time of year!
I also, clearly, have a thing for Nora Ephron movies and Tom Hanks.
You’ve Got Mail - arguably my favorite movie, ever. “Don’t you just love New York in the fall?”
Every Harry Potter movie, but especially Prisoner of Azkaban
It’s Complicated - really has nothing to do with fall, it’s just cute, silly, and sweet. Plus - Meryl Streep, Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin, and John Krasinski are all in it??
The Holiday - I know, it’s a Christmas movie, don’t fight me on this
When Harry Met Sally - The second Nora Ephron movie on this list.
Love & Basketball - If you’ve somehow made it this far in your life without watching this movie, stop what you’re doing right now and go watch it.
It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown - We watch this and A Charlie Brown Christmas every year. Such a classic.
The Terminal - I adored this movie when it came out. Couldn’t tell you why, I just loved it. Nothing to do with fall, just a good story, and also…Tom Hanks.
Hocus Pocus - Again, I don’t do spooky. This is about as spooky as I’ll get, movie-wise.
Sleepless in Seattle - I just really like Nora Ephron movies, okay? And America’s dad, Tom Hanks.
